Overview

JImage is an image and animation editor for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It supports local editing, optional cloud AI generation, compositing, watermarking, and photo, Live Photo, GIF, or video export. This policy explains how JImage handles photos, AI requests, account data, and app settings.

Photos and Editing Data

Standard edits, previews, collages, text, watermarks, and exports are processed on your device. JImage sends photos or video frames off-device only when you choose an AI feature that needs them. Managed AI uploads are described below; ordinary local editing does not upload your media to the JImage service.

AI Features

With JImage Managed AI, your prompt, generation settings, and selected photos or video frames are uploaded to JImage's backend and shared with Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (DashScope) only to generate the result you request. If you choose Custom Provider in Developer mode, requests are instead sent from your device to the endpoint you configure using your own API key, which is stored in the device Keychain.

Cloud Storage and Retention

Managed AI inputs are temporarily stored in private Alibaba Cloud OSS for about 24 hours. Generated outputs and prompts are normally deleted after about 30 days. Failed cleanup is retried and may delay deletion. Verified downloads may remain in this account's protected cache on your device until you clear the cache, delete the account or app, or the operating system evicts them.

Account and Service Data

Sign in with Apple is required for Managed AI and AI credits. The JImage service keeps the account, session, credit ledger, purchase settlement records, generation jobs, and accessible generation history needed to provide those features. You can delete the current service account in the app; linked cloud media, prompts, remaining credits, and accessible history are removed, while limited billing, fraud-prevention, security, and deletion-receipt evidence may be retained where required.

Data Stored on Device

JImage may store app preferences, language and AI settings, feature and prompt favorites, watermark templates, version history, recoverable editing sessions, generated-media task details, purchase status, protected AI downloads, and temporary files on your device. Account sessions and custom-provider API keys are stored separately in the device Keychain.

Photo Library Access

JImage uses system photo pickers and photo library permissions only so you can select media and save exported results. Access is controlled by Apple platform permission prompts and your system settings.

Purchases

JImage may offer paid upgrades and AI credit packs through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles payment and entitlement information; the JImage service records the verified transaction and resulting credit balance needed to settle purchases. We do not receive your payment card details.

Analytics and Advertising

JImage does not use advertising identifiers or third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and photo permissions are provided by Apple. Managed AI uses Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (DashScope) and private Alibaba Cloud OSS storage. Custom Provider mode contacts the endpoint you configure. Information sent to these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy practices.
